NOTE: Remotes are only functional when the door is in the “unlocked” position. When locked, the safety switch prevents door operation, even from the radio controls. However, this is still satisfactory for many customers who only require the door to close, not seal, until they return again at which point they can still remotely open the door. For a fully automated remote operation, including locking and unlocking of the door, see our Autolock upgrade option.

A radio control kit is available on all Diamond doors. The standard kit includes a commercial radio receiver and (2) three button transmitters.
When ordered together with the door, the radio controls are ready to use out of the box. The receiver is factory wired into the main electrical box and the transmitters are preprogrammed.
3 Button Key Chain Transmitter

The radio control kit is a three channel system providing a separate channel for up, down and stop activation anywhere in the open/close cycle.
Transmitters are available in a standard sized tri-color sun visor clip, or a 3 button keychain size. Unless specified, the sun visor sized transmitters are supplied with the door.
Optional External Antenna Mounting Kit w/ 15’ Cable
Transmission range varies significantly depending on terrain, obstructions and general interference. However, you can usually expect the transmitters to work within an acceptable distance from the door. An optional remote antenna kit is also available to extend the transmission range. The remote antenna can be mounted on the external portion of the building, adding considerable range to the remote controls.
